How To read daily feeds of your favorite website on desktop
One of my reader from askritesh asked me a question a few days back -
Is there any way that I can get updates of my selected sites on desktop and also to get notified whenever there is an update.
So today I am sharing with you a desktop application which will enable you to get notified whenever your selected website is updated. FeedDemon 3.0 For Windows is the best RSS Reader so far. And inspite of all of the features that it offers it comes to you completely free.

How to setup Feed Demon to get your favorite sites update notifications on your desktop -
- First Download and Install FeedDemon.
- Install FeedDemon


- Enable Google reader Synchronization if you want to get notification of your google feeds too.
- Start FeedDemon and you will get a screen like below
- Now you have to add feed url of the sites for which you want to get notified, if you don’t know the feed url of a website than just enter the site name and feed demon will take care of the rest.
- Create a folder for the feed to categorize them and click Next > Finish.
- Once you have completed these steps feeds will start downloading, add as many feeds you want and get notified right on your desktop.
You can view feeds in 3 different ways either by
- Feed
- Date
- Titile
Also you have the option to adjust whether you want to see full feed, excerpt or only titles.
Feed Demon also provide you a Browser to see the feeds within it. To view a particular feed in new window (Browser) click on the link after the Title.
