These days Google is on fly, in at most every 15 days we see Google’s new service, till now we have seen Google Chrome OS which was a big leap in Software Market by Google, then the world saw Google’s interest in DNS by launching its own Google DNS Service which is really very fast. Not only this Chrome Beta 4 and just after that Google had launched its Chrome Extension Gallery.

Now Google has launched its new service for shortening URL called Google URL Shortener. Google URL Shortener at goo.gl is a service that takes long URLs and squeezes them into fewer characters to make a link that is easier to share, tweet, or email to friends.

It seems better than tinyurl, it produces shorter urls.

As an example, I shortened one of my posts using google and tinyurl:

    http://tinyurl.com/y9axola

    Tinyurl – 7 characters
    Google – 4 characters

    Very impressive.
