Microsoft may not reveal the theme for the upcoming Operating System Windows 8 but artist has started to create some good conceptual themes for Windows 8. One of such an eye-catching theme is “Talisman” by somrat

Everything is made from a scratch (except for some icons,
which I’ve downloaded from rocketdock.com and converted it to icons) – somrat

You can’t expect the real windows 8 experience out of it!
The artist wanted to design a theme which will show how the windows 8 desktop interface may be, with the help of talisman.

Windows 8 concept Talisman by somrat Take a look at Windows 8 concept theme

In the theme you will find :

  1. A new split taskbar and start button
  2. A new start menu
  3. The open windows are not shown in the taskbar but in a slide-window (which is located in the left side of the screen).
  4. A all new glass Analog clock and calendar
  5. A new windows 8 wallpaper (to match up the taste)
  6. Drives and recent programs are shown in the taskbar.
  7. Theme is auto scalable to any resolution.

Installing The Theme:

  1. Open talisman program after installation
  2. Right-click on the main window of talisman and select “windows 8 – By somrat” from the theme menu

Well at one conference sponsored by Microsoft I did see a concept theme, that I think was the legitimate preview (an MSP- Microsoft Student Partner, had shown it) of what we can expect from Windows 8, and it did surely blow my mind of.

My other thoughts on viewing the concept (it was in a video) my very first thought was that it was gonna be a RAM monster for the sheer graphics it was using.

Windows 8 already? I just bought Windows 7 a month ago! I like having the icons for the programs that you run often on the task bar like on a Mac. It makes it so much easier to start programs and switch to them. I’ve done my best with Windows 7 to mimic that. I think it would be a great if they could improve on that for Windows 8.
