Change your Windows 7 taskbar to Windows Vista style

One of the most superb improvement that Windows 7 has done in its Look and Feel is the Windows 7 Taskbar.It is the most appreciated improvement in Windows 7.

But some don’t like the new taskbar and want love their old taskbar which they used in Windows Vista, so for those of you who would like to revert back to Windows Vista taskbar follow the below tutorial.

  • Right Click on the Task bar & select Properties
  • Check the the box ‘Use Small Icons’
  • In the drop down menu labeled ‘Taskbar Buttons’, choose ‘Combine when task bar is full’

Now click on apply and you are done.

  1. The new taskbar is great. Those who don’t like it are just those who don’t like change. They would probably still use a rotary phone if possible.

  4. Windows 7 Task bar is rubbish, just like the ribbon. I’m not blind, stupid or want to look at something that looks like it bellongs in Windows 3.1. I like change – I’m an IT analyst programmer, so deal with change all the time. However, if I want to change screen, all I need is a text list of the windows open, not a pretty set of pictures that you have to scroll along to.
