Based on the powerful editing component Scintilla, Notepad++ is written in C++ and uses pure Win32 API and STL which ensures a higher execution speed and smaller program size. By optimizing as many routines as possible without losing user friendliness, Notepad++ is trying to reduce the world carbon dioxide emissions. When using less CPU power, the PC can throttle down and reduce power consumption, resulting in a greener environment.
This project is mature. However, there may be still some bugs and missing features that are being worked on.
It is stricking that why notepad didnt evolved a lot with windows evolution and yes amonng available free notepad soft, notepad++ is a good alternative to the oldy windows notepad. Notepad++ supports also plug-ins as I understood.
I am using this notepad ,in this new notepad u can easily identify error with some color changes , u can also work java and c program in this notepad,very useful notepad for all
