If you want to be a podcast superstar then this article will help you record a quality podcast with Skype. Make sure that you have high quality mic and headset.

MAC Podcasts:

• Install SoundFlower and configure Skype for it.
• Create two different components to AHP and set their input to SoundFlower (2ch), Default System Input/USB recording device and output to Silence.
• Create an additional component and set application as the audio source. Choose Skype.
• For each component, clicking on hijack will open a Skype monitoring component. Click on ‘QUIT AND RELAUNCH’.
• For first two components, select MP3 as format and start the Skype call.
• Click on the RECORD button. Make sure the sound level stays under 0.
• After recording, hit the RECORD button again for two components.
• You will get two MP3 files that can be synchronized and mixed with any sound editing software.

Windows Podcasts:

• Install HotRecorder on your PC.
• Start the Skype Call.
• Clicking on RECORD button on HotRecorder will start the recording and FINISH button will end it.
• At the end you will get an .epl file. Open it in AudioConverter in HotRecorder folder.
• Choosing MP3 and clicking on CONVERT button will give you the MP3 file.
