Turning on Floating Dock Back in Win 7

Unlike most operating systems, Windows 7 does not come with floating dock toolbar feature. However, you can use the Windows Taskbar for this purpose. The new Dell computers are coming with a floating dock toolbar feature named as Dell Dock. You can perform below steps to turn on the Dell Dock toolbar back on your desktop:
Steps to make floating dock reappear in Win 7:

1.    Click on the Window Start button in the window taskbar.

2.    Go to “All Programs”.

3.    Then go to Dell folder.

4.    Click on the Dell Dock to reopen the toolbar. Remember that Dock is located in the folder created for Dell, not in the system files.

5.    If Dell Dock option is not available, then download the Dell Dock toolbar from following website www.delldock.com

6.    Double click on the DellDock16a_setup_ENG.exe to install it on your computer.

7.    Launch Dell dock by repeating the steps 2 – 4.

8.    Right click on the Dell Dock Toolbar.

9.    Click on “Advanced Settings”.

10. Click on the tick mark which has “Start the Dell Dock with Windows” text written near to it.
