How to burn image on DVD/CD Using Windows 7 Built-in Burning Tool?

Many computer users use different software like Nero or ImgBurn etc to burn image files on their DVDs or CDs. In Windows 7, Microsoft has introduced its own built-in burner which will burn only ISO and IMG files. In this article we will show you how to burn the image using Windows 7 built in burner:

Steps:

  • Enter a blank writeable DVD/CD in DVD/CD writer.
  • Now right click on the ISO/IMG image file you want to burn and click on the “Burn disc image” option shown in the context menu.
  • The “Burn Disc Image” window will be opened. Now select the DVD/CD Writer drive from the dropdown menu in front of “Disc burner”.
  • If you want Windows 7 to verify the disc now then check the checkbox “verify disc after burning”. You will see the progress bar of image burning. If you check the “Verify disc…” checkbox, you will see verifying progress bar later on.
  • Close the image burning window by clicking on the “Close” button.

Note: It will take quite a bit long to complete the image burring process.
