In the world of computer, many users utilize Remote Desktop Connection to connect to other computers over the internet or Local Area Network. Mostly the GUI interface is used for this Remote Desktop Connection but this task can be accomplished by using command line parameters. Hence, it provides additional control over connection behavior. In this article we will show you how to connect to remote computer through command line.
Steps:
- Click on the Windows Orb(Start) button
- Go to “All Programs” > “Accessories”
- Click on “RUN” to open RUN dialogue box
- In the text bar write “mstsc” and write additional command line parameters after giving a space. The format of command should be as follows:
Note: For displaying available command line switches, go to Start>Search, write “mstsc /?” and press enter.
