In this article we will discuss Start up Repair feature of Windows 7. It is one of the Recovery Tools set, which comes with Windows 7 b default. Press F8 during system start up and you will see a window with “Start up Repair” option on the top. You can utilize Start up Repair to perform following operations:
- Startup Repair can fix problems, such as:
- Missing files
- Damaged system files
- Startup Repair cannot be used to fix any hardware problems, such as:
- Hard disk failure
- Incompatible memory
- Startup Repair cannot protect against any virus/worm or Trojan.
- Startup Repair cannot recover any files, such as:
- Documents
- Images
- Startup Repair cannot fix any windows installation problems.
- When Startup Repair has completed its operations, it will provide the “Report Summary” of errors which are fixed and the errors that could not be fixed.
