In this article we will show you how to make your System run faster.
Disk Cleanup:
- Go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Cleanup
- Select the drive you want to clean up and press OK
- After the cleanup process, select the checkboxes of files you want to delete and press OK
- When prompted for confirmation, press Yes
Disk Defragment:
- Go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Defragment
- Select the drive or drives and press “Analyze Disk”
- If analyze results show that you need to defragment the drive then select the drive or drives and press “Defragment Disk”
- After the completion of process, close the defragment window
Disk Error Checking:
- Go to Start > My Computer
- Right click on your desired Hard Disk
- Select Properties
- Click on Tools tab
- Press “Check Now” button
- Select “Scan for and attempt recovery if bad Sectors” and press “Start”
- Select “Automatically fix file system error” only if you think the drive contains bad sectors
