Firefox is one of the most widely used browsers. While working with Firefox 3.6 in Windows 7, it poses a minor issue. Due to default settings of Firefox, when you move the mouse over its icon, it does not show all the opened tabs but a single thumbnail. It creates inconvenience for the users who have opened multiple web pages. However, this problem can be resolved with a minor change in the configuration of the browser. Below are the steps that can be followed to solve the problem:
Steps:
- Open Firefox and type about:config in its address bar.
- A warning message will appear. Click OK to pass the message.
- A list of preferences will be displayed.
- Locate the preference (browser.taskbar.previews.enable). You can use filter box to locate it.
- Change its status from default to user set and value from false to true.
By following these steps, all the tabs gets visible when you move the mouse over the Firefox icon on the task bar. Clicking the X in the upper right of the window will close any tab.
