There are many Prompts in windows that confirms from the user before executing the command. One such prompt is delete confirmation. Whenever you hit the delete button, it asks you if you really want to remove the item. This feature is really useful when you accidentally hit the delete button. However, at times this command is really annoying when you are supposed to delete large number of useless files while cleaning the computer. For such instances it is good to disable the command to save your time.
To disable it, follow the given steps.
- On the desktop, right click on the Recycle Bin and select Properties. It will open the Properties dialog box.
- There at the bottom you will see the option of Display Delete Confirmation Dialog. Uncheck the option to disable it.
- Exit the dialog box by clicking on OK
By following the above steps you can quickly delete the useless files and clean your computer. However don’t forget to turn ON the option after you are done with deletion process. To turn it ON, follow the same steps. Just check the option of Display Delete Confirmation Dialog to enable it.
