    As always, failure is not an option. It comes bundled with your Microsoft product… APN repairs don’t fix the inability of the platform to send mail when your outgoing smtp server isn’t the same as your phone provider provides as a default.

    This was hilarious. I suddenly started getting the error. After trying a few things & wasting time with Airtel support, I deleted the apn settings to resolve the issue.

    The problem is abundant with Nokia Lumia 810 running 7.5, the above solution doesn’t work in this case. Check out the “market place” for an application by name “Network Setup” from Nokia, This app again is very similar to settings->mobile network. Use the “Network Setup” app to configure the APN and select the option to make the APN default. It works!
