How to Fix Installation Problems of Intel AHCI Driver in Windows 7?

Windows 7 is the most enhanced version of all the previous versions of Windows. Using CD or DVD to install drivers and other stuff is common practice of Windows users. However the users are experiencing issues while installing the Intel AHCI driver via CD or DVD. AHCI stands for Advanced Host Controller Interface specification.

Microsoft reported that users are confronted with error when they press F6 to load the controller driver of AHCI. According to the Redmond Company the problem occurs only when users try to install AHCI driver through CD or DVD.

There are two solutions to this problem. One proposed by Microsoft and other is proposed by Redmond Company.

  • Microsoft recommends the users to install the AHCI driver using media other than CD/DVD and ignore any error that arises. If error comes, it means the driver has been installed.
  • According to Redmond company, a solution is present that can be used by users for ensuring that the AHCI driver has been installed during the setup process of Windows 7.
