Windows 7 is very wisely featured by Microsoft. Most of the computer users are gradually switching to it. While installation, some users faces the issue regarding configuration of Windows. During the setup the following error message is received by users.
“Windows Setup could not configure Windows on this computer’s hardware”
The Redmond company reports that the error comes when users attempt to install Windows 7 And Windows Server 2008 R2 to an emulation format disk of 512-byte.
Microsoft has verified the error and proposed two methods to resolve the issue.
- Install latest drivers for the hard disk: The first method requires the users to download and install the latest drivers for Windows server 2008 R2 or Windows 7. Users can download these drivers from the Intel websites. These drivers can be burn to CDs or can be saved in USB to use during the setup process of Windows Server 2008 R2 or Windows 7.
- Reset the BIOS settings: The second method requires changing hard disk settings in the BIOS. If hard disk settings include RAID configuration then change it to AHCI or IDE. If you are following this method then there is no need to install drivers as describe in the first method.
