Windows 7 does not have classic start menu. It looks bit strange to the people who have switched from Windows XP to Windows 7. However there exists a trick with which one can change the start menu to classic start menu in Windows 7. Follow the given procedure:
Steps:
- Right click the Taskbar and click on “Properties”.
- Click on the Start Menu tab and click “Customize”
- In the selection list, locate the element of TV recordings.
- Once located, click to enable the “Display As Menu”
- Click “OK” to close the dialogue box
- Affirm the settings by clicking “Apply” and then click “OK”
Now for the further steps, all the folders should be accessible. Means there should be no hidden folder.
- Now go to the Start Menu and right click the option of TV Recordings.
- Click “Properties”. In the library tab, select the “Public TV Recordings” and click “Delete”.
- Hit the “Add Folder”.
- In the opened window, browse to the folder in computer ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start menu\Programs’.
- Click “Include Folder”
- In the field of “Optimize This Library For” change its settings to “General Items”
- Click Apply and then click OK
- Now go to Start Menu and right click the option of TV Recordings. Rename it to “Programs” and press Enter.
