Unlocking the Hidden Themes in Windows 7

Windows 7, which has made its mark in a short period of time, offers the best graphical options. In Windows 7, there exist some hidden themes. These hidden themes can be unlocked by following the simple procedure.

Steps:

The following steps will guide you to unlock the hidden themes in Windows 7.

  • Open the Windows Explorer.
  • Go to Organize and select Folder and Search Options.
  • Find the option of Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drivers. Check this option to enable it.
  • In the Window of Folder Option there will be a View tab. Click on it and then click on Advanced Settings.
  • Uncheck Hide Protected Operating System Files to disable it.
  • Now browse to Windows > globalization > MCT.
  • Open any of the folders. Click to open the Theme folder.
  • Double click on these Themes to add them to the Library folder of Windows 7.
  • Repeat the same process with all MCT folders.
  • Now after this you have to unchange the settings you made earlier. Find and enable the Don’t Show Hidden Files, Folders and Themes.
  • Similarly find the hide protected operating system files and check it to enable it.

Now all the themes have been unlocked. To add your desired theme, right click on the desktop, click Personalize and select your desired theme.
