Windows 7 is the most up to date operating system and offers the users with a great deal of novel features. All the computer geeks and home users are switching to it. It also allows the option of changing its product key. The two methods to change its product key are described below:
1st Method:
This method involves the changing of product key from the system properties. Follow the given steps to change product key through this method.
- Right click on shortcut of computer desktop and click Properties.
- Click on Change Product Key option given at the bottom of the window.
- Enter your product key in a proper format and hit Enter to activate the product key.
2nd Method:
This method takes the approach of changing product key through commands on DOS.
- Hit the Start button and write cmd in the search field to open the Command Prompt.
- Type the following command and hit Enter.
- After it, activate Windows 7 by typing “slmgr.vbs –ato”.
