When working on shared computers, people often prefer to use different user names. All the operating systems by Microsoft allow the users to change the user account name. This feature is also present in the latest Windows 7 and is very easy to do. Follow the given steps to change your username in Windows 7.
Steps:
- Click on Start Menu. Type User Accounts in the search box. Select the option of User Accounts from the list.
- It will open the window that will allow you to make changes to your user account.
- Click on the option of Change Your Account Name.
- In the given field, type the new name you want for your user account.
- Tap the button of Change Name.
This will change your username. From the next time, you have to log-in using your new username.
