Windows defender is a free program that provides protection against pop-ups and spyware. It shows up every time the computer is started, which appears very irritating to some users. There exists a process by which one can prevent it from showing on startup. You can follow the given process to disable Windows Defender Service in Windows Vista or Windows Server 2008.
- Go to Start Menu. Write services in the search box.
- It will display the option of services. Select the option.
- The services window will show up containing all the services.
- Find the Windows Defender and right-click it to select the Properties.
- In the Properties window, find the Startup Type. Click on its drop down menu and select disabled.
- Press the OK button in current and the next appearing windows to apply the changes.
The above process will not allow the windows defender to show on start up.
