IMAP stands for Internet message application protocol. It is a protocol that is used for retrieving email. When the IMAP mail is downloaded with Outlook, it only gives header and subject information. Here is the process with which we can download the complete IMAP mail in outlook.

Steps:

• Launch Microsoft Outlook. Click on the tab of Send/Receive.
• Select Send/Receive Groups and click on Define Send/Receive Groups.
• The window of Send/Receive Group will show up. Select the button of Edit.
• Select the folder for which you want to completely download IMAP. Make sure to select the option of “Use the custom behavior defined below” and the option of “Download complete item including attachments”.
• Press OK to finish the process.

Now the outlook will download complete IMAP items. Note that, it will take a quite long time if your inbox is full.
