How to Create a New User Account in Win 7?

Having separate user accounts is a good security option. It keeps the privacy of different users sharing the same computer. In Windows 7, the account functionality has been updated. Similarly the interface of creating new account is also a bit changed in Windows 7. To create the user account in windows, follow the given course of action.

  • Go to start menu. Type User Accounts in the search box and hit the Enter key.
  • This will open the User Account page. Click on the option of Manage Another Account.
  • A window showing the accounts overview will show up. Click on Create A New Account.
  • Type the username in the given field. Select standard user or administrator account up to your preference.
  • Tap the option of Create Account.
  • This will create the new user account. You can verify its presence in User Management List.
  • For added security, create a password for the user account. This password can also be changed later on.
  • You can also change the picture of the user account.
