How to Create PST Files in Microsoft Outlook?

A .pst (personal storage table) is a file format that is used to store messages, events, calendar and other information in Microsoft outlook. It is a good way to organize your items. To create .pst files in outlook, follow the given steps.

Steps:

  • Launch Microsoft outlook. Go to File > New> Outlook Data File.
  • In the window of outlook data file, leave the settings as they are and press the OK button.
  • Give the location where you want the .pst files to be saved. Press the OK button.
  • Give the name in the name field. Note that outlook will display the same name.  For the added security, you can also enter the password. After you are done with the settings, hit the ok button.

Now the .PST folder will be visible in the navigation pan of outlook. To create new folders or to explore other options, right-click the personal data file and see what more you can do with it. To add additional folders, drag and drop also works in it.
