If you are using MacAfee Virusscan software, then you must have faced the problem of slow autocomplete feature of outlook. While writing or deleting the email, this autocomplete feature takes about 3 to 10 seconds, which are too much. The delay is because of the way MacAfee buffer protects the outlook autocomplete feature. It needs to remove the outlook.exe from buffer protection of MacAfee in order to fix this problem.
Here is the fix to solve this problem.
- Go to Start > Programs.
- Open MacAfee virus scan.
- Select the tab of Buffer Overflow Protection. Right click it and click on properties.
- Keep selected the tab of Buffer Overflow Protection and tap the Add button
- In the field of process name, type outlook.exe. press OK
- Tap the Apply button and then click OK to exit.
This will exclude the outlook.exe from Buffer Overflow Protection and eventually results in quick autocomplete feature.
