Create a Flow Chart in Microsoft Word 2007

Flow charts are really effective in presenting ideas. With the Microsoft word 2007, one can create the professional looking flow charts easily and quickly. Follow the given guide to create a professionally looking flow chart in Microsoft word 2007.

Steps:

  • In Microsoft word 2007, Select the Insert tab and click on Shapes tool.
  • Select the shape you wish to use.
  • For consistency, it is advisable to copy the shape and paste it as many times you need it.
  • To add text, right click the shape and click on Add Text.
  • Connect the shapes through lines. Select Shape tool and pick the line. Draw the line with the mouse by clicking and dragging.

A flow chart gets it form at this step. However it is good to format it bit more to make it look professional.

  • While holding the ctrl key, select all shapes. Click on the Format tool and give the shapes your preferred style and color.
  • You can make the shapes more prominent by giving Shadow Effects.
