The system tray on taskbar in windows 7 is a very useful utility. Users can also customize what icons to display and what icons to hide to keep the system tray neat and clean. Following the given procedure, you can customize the system tray in windows 7.
- Tap the arrow icon given on the left of the system tray.
- It will display a box holding hidden icons. Tap the Customize button.
- Right click System Clock and click on Customize Notification Icons.
- It will take you to the window of Notification Area Control Panel. Here you can perform the following actions:
- Customize system tray icons individually
- Customize battery life, network stats, and sound etc of icons individually.
- Restore default settings
- Always display all icons
For each selected icon, you will have three behavior choices. These are Show Icon and Notifications, Hide Icon and Notifications, and Only Show Notifications. You can opt any of it depending on your needs and preferences.
