How to Give a Blank Space to the Taskbar in Windows 7?

Windows 7 has a very cool taskbar. Still, it does not allow the users to space the icons. Here is the simple process following which you can give a blank space separating the icons on the taskbar.

Steps:

  • Right-click anywhere on the desktop and select the option of New.
  • From context menu, select the option of Text Document.
  • Save the file. Change the extension from .txt to .exe.
  • Right click the .exe file and choose the option of Pin to Taskbar.
  • On the taskbar, right-click the icon of the file and click on Properties.
  • Select the Shortcut tab.
  • Tap the Change Icon button.
  • Scroll towards the right unless a blank space appears. Select this blank space and press OK button.
  • Again press OK and exit the window.

Using your mouse, you can place this blank space anywhere on the desktop. You can create as many blank spaces as you want. You just need to create separate exe files for each blank space.
