Use SkyDrive to Embed Documents in a Web Page

Using SkyDrive, you can feely embed your presentations or files on any web page or blog, where users can view them on any browser without having need to download PowerPoint viewer or any other software.

Steps:

  • Use your Windows Live ID to sign-in http://office.live.com/.
  • Press Add Files to upload the .ppt or .xls file. Or create a new file using icons on the right of the window.
  • Open the public folder. If you don’t have one, then create a new folder.
  • Give the title to the folder.
  • Tap the Change button given next to Share With.
  • Move the slider to Everyone (Public) and tap the Next button.
  • Drag and drop the documents to be embedded or select documents from your computer.
  • Tap the Continue button.
  • Next to the uploaded file, click on More > Share > Embed.
  • Copy the html code and paste it in blog’s source.

Note that the blog or web page on which you are embedding the documents should support iframes.
