A dual boot system is created when users install two operating systems on the computer. When computer starts, it prompts the users to choose which operating system they want to boot into. Users can set the Windows 7 as the default operating system.
Following steps will show you how to set Windows 7 as default operating system.
Steps:
- Go to Start menu. Type msconfig in the search box and press the Enter key.
- Select the boot tab and choose Windows 7 or the operating system you want to set as default. Press the Set as Default button.
- Press OK.
- It will show up the prompt having two options i.e. Restart and Exit without Restart. You can choose either option to finish the process.
This will set the Windows 7 as your default operating system. Now whenever you will boot the system, it will automatically boot in to Windows 7.
