Windows 7 provides you facility to run power efficiency report. Reports will tell you those components which are hungry in power and help to isolate them. It also tells you that your Laptop energy is consumed by which components. It is most useful for those who are using Windows 7 operating system in their laptops because they keep battery life in their mind while working on Laptop.
Before making start, close all applications which you have just opened in order to see correct result of Power Efficiency report. Follow these steps to generate a report.
Steps:
- Open “Windows Start Orb”. Write “cmd” in search text filed. Make a right click on “cmd.exe” program and then select “Run as Administrator” from list.
- Write “power–energy” on command prompt screen and hit “Enter”. It will start to diagnose and will take 60 seconds in order to complete the process.
- After completion of process, write “enery-report.html” which will gives you HTML repot file.
- Here you will see Power Efficiency Diagnostic report. Different colors show different messages. Pink color indicates error messages, yellow color shows warning and white color displays general information.
- All done! By checking these warnings and reports, you can now easily improve power efficiency of your laptop.
