Sometimes you need to share some documents that contain your personal information which you don’t want to share with someone. Office 2010 provides you its tool to remove private data which you don’t want to share. Office 2010 collects your all data in order to make searching and for usability purposes. Your data will be stored as Meta tags in document properties. It contains title, keywords, status, category, name, comments and subject in text fields of document properties. Inspector tool is used to remove this data from document properties. Let’s have a look:
- Open “file” ribbon and then select “Info” from menu list. Click on “Check for Issues” and then on “Inspect Document” located in drop down menu.
- Click on “Inspect” button without making any change.
Click on “Remove All” located in front of each document data. It will remove your selected category. Close this window. All done! Now check your Document Properties. All text from text field will be cleared. Now you can share document without sharing your personal information.
