How to Rotate your Windows 7 Background Image Using an RSS Feed

Windows 7 came with new and interesting features. You can move background of your desktop screen automatically. Now you even don’t need to choose pictures and add them to your image library manually. Now you don’t need to find and download pictures manually. “RSS Feed” allow you to automatically find images for windows 7.

Steps:

  • · Open “Window Start Menu” orb. Write following path and then hit “Enter”.  %userprofile%AppDataLocalMicrosoftWindowsThemes”.
  • Write click on theme file present in folder and open it with notepad.
  • Change the name of theme according to your wish by changing the text after “DisplayName=”. For Example write DisplayName=RSSTheme.
  • Search text “[Slideshow]” in notepad file. Match code with the code given below. If you don’t find “[Slideshow]” then paste below code into your notepad. You can change speed of image rotation by changing the interval value.

Shuffle=1
RssFeed=http://feeds.feedburner.com/bingimages

  • Save you notepad file with desired name and .theme extension.
  • Right click on desktop and click on “Personalize”. Click on theme you just created and then on “Download Attachments” in “Apply theme” window.
  • Wait until “RSS feed” not completed image downloading. Click on “Desktop Background” to change the time of slide show. Set time and then click on “Save Changes”.

Done with all! You will see rotation of beautiful backgrounds on your desktop screen.
