Windows 7 provides guidelines in order to tackle all little problems that you face with windows 7. By default search internet option is disabled on start menu of windows 7. If you don’t find internet in your start menu, you can place it manually. You need to enable this feature, and then your default search provider and internet browser will be picked by windows 7 in order to search for internet. Check these steps to configure this feature.
Steps:
- Open “Windows Start Orb” and write “gpedit.msc” in search text field and then hit “Enter”. You will see list of local security policy appear.
- Click on “User Configuration” to configure start menu. Now browse “Administrative Template” and click on
“Start Menu and Taskbar” under “Administrative template”. - Start Menu and Taskbar window will open. Make a right click on option “Add Search internet link to start Menu” located on top right pane of window and then select “Edit” from menu list.
Select “Enabled” to add search internet link to start menu and then finally click on “OK” button. Done with all! Now you can make your search from Start Menu
