There are bundle from opening and sometimes you want to disable this restriction. You can do this work in windows 7. Follow these steps to prevent any program of your choice from opening in Windows 7.
Steps:
- To open run dialog box, press “Windows key” and without releasing “Windows key”, hit “R” button. Write “reedit” in text field and press “Enter”.
- From “Registry Editor” window, explore “Registry Key” as given below: “HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionPoliciesExplorer”.
- Make a right click on right panel in “Explorer key”. Click on “New” and then on “DWORD (32-bit) Value”. Rename “DWORD (32-bit) Value” to “Disallow Run”.
- Double click on “Disallow Run” that you just created in previous in order to make changes in it. Write “1” in “Value data” text field and hit “Enter”.
- Right click on “Explorer Key” located at left pane of “Registry Key” window. Select “New” and then “Key”. Rename it to “Disallow Run”.
- Right click on right panel in “Disallow Run key”. Select “New” and then “String Value” and make it rename to what you like.
- Double click on new String which you just created. Type name of .exe file which you want to block from running e.g. iexplore.exe.
Done! You have successfully disallowed program of your choice. Restart your system once.
