Wininit.exe – installed with windows
Wininit.exe is designed by Microsoft and it is automatically installed with windows. It is present in both vista and windows 7. Purpose of file is to run uninstallers and commands which are saved in WinInit.ini file. Wininit.exe file allow programs to perform actions even if computer is booting. Most of the websites tell you Wininit.exe is a virus but don’t worry at all. It is a safe program.
It is at the top of all windows services in process explorer application. Files location is “C:\Windows\system32\wininit.exe”.
Wininit.exe process is required by Windows to function. If you disable this process, you will definitely receive system critical errors and in this situation you have to restart your PC.
