Add “My Dropbox” in Windows 7

People at How-to Geek really like the option of Dropbox, as it is the fast online file sync utility. It would be much better if we would be able to add it to the Windows 7 Start Menu. And now we will show how to do that.

It can be easily added to the Start Menu by using the silly hack to the library feature and by renaming the Recorded TV library with a different name. This is not the right way to do so but still you can access your Dropbox folder from the Start Menu.

You should follow the proper steps for it and firstly Customize Start Menu panel by making a right click on it and then from Properties make sure Recorded TV is set at “Display as a link”.

Now you need to right-click on the Recorded TV, select the Rename option and name it as My Dropbox.

Right click on the Recorded TV again and select Properties, this will show the library location in the list. Actually you want to remove Recorded TV and add the Dropbox folder.

When the library location will be shown to you, don’t forget to set “Optimize this library for” to “General items”.

Now you can click on My Dropbox and easily see what is in it.
