For those having tablet or Touchscreen displays should try out the handwriting recognition features in Windows 7. In order to enable gestures for handwriting you need to do the following:

First of all you need to open the start menu and type the word handwriting in the search results. After that by clicking the Change tablet pen setting the control panel settings for tablet will open up. From there just click on the fourth option in the Pen Actions list- Start Tablet PC Input Panel and then click on the Settings button.

You should check the Enable start Input panel gesture. You can also change the variation of the gesture setting from the cursor. The range for the gesture should not large. After selecting the suitable range for your setting, click OK.

Finally you need to open the panel and check out the gesture by writing one or two words in it.  If you are not happy with the accuracy of the handwriting panel then again open Start Menu and type in handwriting. Now you have to select the first option from the Programs list and personalize it.
