Steps
- Open windows start menu. Write “regedit.exe” in search box and hit “Enter”.
- Registry Editor Window will appear. Explore the given key: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shell
- Right click on “shell” key. Select “New” and then “Key” from menu. Rename new key with “open with Notepad”.
- Right click on “Open with Notepad” key and create a new key. Rename it with “command”.
- Now select the “Command” key and then double click on “(Default)” located at right panel. Write “notepad.exe %1in” in value field and then click “OK” button.
- Now right click on any file and you will see notepad entry. Over!
