Quick launch bar is used to contain applications. To explore application, just a single click on quick launch icon is required. By default this application is not present in to Windows 7 because Windows 7 gives you facility to add shortcut icons directly on task bar. You can add quick launch taskbar in Windows 7 if you want. Check out the listed steps to add this application in Windows 7
Steps
- Make a right click on blank area of Windows 7 task bar. From menu, unlock the taskbar if it is locked and then select “Toolbars”. Another sub-menu will appear. Click on “New Toolbar…” option.
- Write the below path in location bar and click on “Select Folder” button. %appdata%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch
- Quick Launch toolbar will appear on taskbar of Windows 7 but it will display on right side of taskbar. To place it on correct position as you see in other windows, click on dotted lines and then drag left slightly to move it to left side. Make sure that the taskbar is not locked.
Normally, quick launch bar always shows icon instead of text. To remove text, right click on dotted line and then uncheck the both options “Show Text” and “Show Title”. All done! Enjoy quick launch in Windows 7
