All Windows operating systems give you facility to customize the start menu and this facility is also added in new Windows OS version: Windows 7. It lets you to change menu options and edit start menu setting and customize how icons look. - Right click on windows start menu icon and select “Properties” from context menu to open start menu options. Dialog box will opens up with three tabs and default selected tab will be “Start Menu”.
- Click on “Customize” button and it will open “Customize Start Menu” where you can change all settings as you desire. Check or uncheck the radio buttons or boxes and click “OK” button to apply changes. Done!
Alternative way to access start menu option
- From start menu, open control panel located in “All Programs”.
- Go to “Taskbar and Start Menu” green color label and choose “Customize the Start menu” option. It will direct to same start menu properties dialog box. Do changes as mentioned in above steps. Once you make changes, you will see results on Windows 7 start menu.
