Windows 7 has been placed on Amazon for preorders in UK and sales result was really outstanding. BBC reports that selling copies of Windows 7 were more than those of Windows Vista OS. In first eight hours, Windows 7 got achievement that Windows Vista was unable to get even in preorder period of 17 week.

People who don’t want to switch to any other user also persuaded to adopt new Microsoft’s Windows 7. The reason behind huge selling is that the latest release came with great features and unique interface.

It is estimated that great response has been seen in Japan and U.S. preorders also announced discount in price of Windows 7 OS and real price is different in different countries.

Vista selling was also good and Microsoft told that the numbers on paper did not seem too bad. But it’s true when Windows brought any version it is always a new product for existing one. If early numbers of Amazon are any indication then Windows 7 has received this achievement due to positive reviews from press. According to market research firm IDC, 40 million Windows 7 products will go to sale in 2009 and 177 million units in 2010. Moreover, they also estimated that in that year, 18 million Windows Vista units will be sold out.
