Quick access to System Maintenance in Windows 7

Mostly your Windows 7 stops working and to make it work correctly you troubleshoot it by using the system maintenance that can do maintenance tasks, clean unnecessary file and also solve PC problems. You need to open different menus in order to access system maintenance. It is good option to create its shortcut so whenever you want to go to system maintenance system click on shortcut icon and you will be in.

If you are interested in making shortcut, follow below guidelines.

  • Make a right click on empty desktop area, select “New” from menu and “Shortcut” from submenu. Create shortcut window will open up.
  • Write path given below in location text field and click on “Next” button to continue. “%systemroot%\system32\msdt.exe -id MaintenanceDiagnostic”
  • In next window, you have to write the name that shows the shortcut icon is System maintenance. Although you are not restricted to write specific name. Click on “Finish” button.

System maintenance shortcut will create on Windows 7 desktop with name that you specified in shortcut name text field. If you also want system maintenance on system tray, drag its shortcut and drop on system tray. By creating shortcut you will save your time by eliminating several mouse clicks. Enjoy guys!

  1. Nice-do you know the paths to “troubleshooting” and “fix problems with your computer”? This is where Win7 search bar drops the ball-after the search result is displayed in the start menu,there should be the right click option-pin to start menu or taskbar-not just a silly “open” option
