Stop Themes from Customizing the Appearance of Cursors in Windows 7

By using the Windows 7, you are able to change the theme and along with that the other appearances like of start menu, windows, the taskbar and the user interface. If you see then basically the colors and transparency are affected by the themes but every other element change the complete outlook of the Windows 7 which even includes cursor. The animated or any other strange pointer as is used in current Windows is really very disturbing. This feature is disabled in the Windows 7, by default.

Steps to Stop Themes from Customizing the Appearance of Cursors:

  • First of all you have to open the start menu and within the search field type the “mouse pointer”
  • Several results will appear in front of you just click on the “Change how the mouse pointer looks”.
  • You should select the “Pointers” tab when the Mouse Properties appears in front of you.
  • There will be a check box at the bottom of the Window as. “Allow themes to change mouse pointers” and it should be checked by default.
  • Just uncheck that checkbox if you want to easily customize the mouse pointer scheme and to prevent it.  After that in order to apply settings, click the OK button.
  • The cursor scheme that you have selected for you is now included and should be used in a saved scheme.
