Windows 7′s Market Share increased globally

Windows 7 is the latest operating system that was launched on October 22 by Microsoft. People quickly moved to new OS and within few months it is prevailed all over the world. According to the Web analyst firm Stat counter, Microsoft’s new OS had an encouraged start in united state and even globally.

It is estimated from StatCounter that use of Windows 7 OS moved from 1.75 % to 2.82 % by the end of October. This counter was only from united stat but global share also increased by the same rate. In stat counter global stat, they made estimation of top five operating systems in US. These were Windows Vista, XP, 7, MAC OS X and Linux. In Statcounter chart, Windows XP and Vista decreased by few points, and Windows 7 is increased by few points. There is no any change occurred in Linux operating system.

There is a great war between operating systems in market. It is not only the Windows 7 OS that increased in adoption during the month of October. MAC OS X also seems on the same level as both StatCounter and Net Applications also showed it. If you see in StatCounter, you will come to know that MAC OS X usage increased to 11.87 % from 11.29 %. While Net Applications showed its growth rate increased from 5.12 % to 5.26 %.
