User Account Control or UAC is a pop up window that appears every time for asking permission when you try to open an application. It is an annoying feature in Windows 7.
It is basically a security technology and is used to stop malicious software from making any changes without administration permission. When any application makes changes that need permission from administration, then UAC pop up window informs you about this.
Now you will see how to disable or change settings of this feature. Below steps will guide you, how to do so
Steps
- Open windows start orb. Select “Getting Started” option and then “Change UAC settings” from sub menu.
- Here you will see “Default-notify me when programs try to make changes to my computer” option will be selected. To change default setting, you can change the slider position that is located on left side of window.
- Slide it down to level where you want to set it. If you want to disable it completely, then slide it completely down to “Never Notify”. Click on “OK” button to apply changes.
If you turn it off completely and you are logged in with Administrator account, then you will never face with this annoying feature at all.
