Windows 7 provides you wonderful themes that you can set to change your desktop appearance. If you are not satisfied with existing Windows 7 themes, then you can download them from official Microsoft site in free. Today, you learn how to install themes that you download from internet.
Windows 7 contains a “Themes Folder” located in your Profile and you can go to that folder manually. Have a look at below steps to install downloaded or copied themes to use in Windows 7.
Steps
- Download theme from Microsoft official website and save it into your PC.
- Double click on downloaded theme file. Control Panel window will open up with section “Change the visuals and sounds on your computer” screen. From this screen you can change the themes that are already installed.
- Your new downloaded theme will be visible on top of all listings below heading “My Themes”. It will be selected by default because you have double click on this folder before some moment.
As you need this theme to apply so no additional changes required, it is already selected. Simply close the Control Panel Window and it will be set as your current theme. Enjoy your favorite theme on your Windows 7 desktop!
