You can allow or prevent users to change or add background in windows 7, you can set configuration to for desktop background and other users will not able to change background. You can set a specify background to desktop, which cannot be changed and it will be displayed on all user’s desktop.
Here is the guide to allow or prevent changing in desktop background for windows 7.
- If you want to allow changing for desktop background, you will need to download ‘Allow_Changing_Desktop_Background.reg’ file. When you want to prevent, you will download ‘Allow_Changing_Desktop_Background.reg’ file. Right click on required file, click on merge and run it.
- You can do it another way via registry editor, open all users, go to specific users or groups, click on local group policy editor.
- At left side, click on expand for user configuration; go to administrative templates, control panel and personalization.
- At right side, click on Prevent changing desktop background, and click on edit.
- To allow, select ‘not configured’ or ‘disabled’ box with a dot, If you want to prevent it, check enable box, click on ok to complete the process.
