How to Add Or Remove Windows Media Player Privacy Tab

Using Windows Media player in Windows XP can bring up a lot of features that the user feels enticed to while using them in different modes. Among such features there is a feature that allows the users to add or remove the privacy tab as per their need.  Users can now access this option and make adjacent changes by following the information given in the steps below,

  • Access the “All Users”, “Specific users or groups “or All users except administrator’s” Local Group Policy Editor to make the changes as you want them to be as.
  • On the left hand side, click on the left pane options, click to expand up “User Configuration Administrative Templates”, “Windows Components”, “Windows Media Player” and “User Interface”
  • On the right hand panel, look for the option “Hide Privacy Tab” and then click on Edit.
  • If you wish to Add the Privacy feature than do select the either Not configured or Disabled
  • Or if you wish to Remove Privacy feature than do select Enabled
  • Once done, click on Ok and exit the options dialogue box

Once done with the steps above, re open windows media player for assurance and see if the privacy for the settings that you have applied on it.
