Visit any forum or website to find something useful and they will ask you to register. Every time a forum asks me to register, I simply close the site. You would probably do the same. But this time, lets face it.

Before I begin, you should know how things work. All websites and forums will block unregistered users, but they won’t block Google Bot. What we will do is to switch our User Agent to that of Google Bot and freely browse any website or forum without registering.

First grab the add-on for Firefox called ‘user agent’ here and install it. Now go to Tools > User Agent Switcher > Options and then again to Options.

Select User Agent from the left sidebar and click Add. Now in the description field type:

crawl-66-249-66-1.googlebot.com

and in user agent field type:

Googlebot/2.1 (+http://www.googlebot.com/bot.html)

as shown in the screenshot below.

Select Google Bot as your User Script by going to Tools > User Agent Switcher.

Now browse any website or forum without registering. Alternatively you can also check out BugMeNot, it is a free online service where people share login information of thousands of websites and forums. Enjoy!

No 7. Use CacaoWeb or Illimitux

CacaoWeb is a “free software to watch, listen, experience and share multimedia content online.” Using CacoaWeb you can remove the 72-minute time limit in Megavideo. This is actually a more versatile site as it also removes so-called cyberlocker limits on sites such as RapidShare and a batch of other file sharing websites apart from Megavideo. And if you happen to use Firefox or Chrome for that matter, then you can download the extensions at this link, allowing you to do the same as above.

No 6. Download videos using userscripts

One of the best options to bypass the limit is to download the whole video. This can be done using userscripts, if you have Firefox, make sure you have Greasemonkey installed and if you use Google Chrome, hope that these scripts work for you.

Andrew Auernheimer, 24, was being held in Washington County Detention Center in Fayetteville, Ark., according to Lt. Anthony Foster of the Washington County Sheriff’s office in that state. The drugs were found during the execution of the warrant, said Lt. Mike Perryman, of the Fayetteville Police Department. However, Perryman could not say what prompted the warrant.

Auernheimer, who goes by the name “Escher” and the hacker handle “Weev,” faces four felony charges of possession of a controlled substance and one misdemeanor possession charge, Foster said. The drugs included cocaine, ecstasy, LSD, and schedule 2 and 3 pharmaceuticals, he said.

In March, Auernheimer was arrested for giving a fake name to law enforcement officers responding to a parking complaint in Fayetteville, Perryman said.

Auernheimer is a key member of the Goatse Security group that discovered the security weakness in an AT&T Web site for iPad users last week. AT&T criticized the hackers for disclosing the flaw, but Auernheimer told CNET that his group waited until AT&T had fixed the problem before going public and did so to help consumers protect themselves.

AT&T had vowed in a letter sent last week to iPad owners to assist in the investigation and prosecution of any illegal activity related to the AT&T Web site breach, but it’s unknown if the FBI warrant was related that statement.

No bond or court date had been set, but a hearing is scheduled for June 18 in Washington County Circuit Court, Foster said.

“The FBI is aware of these possible computer intrusions,” an FBI spokesman said in an e-mailed statement. “We have opened an investigation to address the potential cyber threat.” The Bureau did not comment on the scope of its investigation.

A hacker group called Goatse Security exploited a vulnerability on AT&T’s website to harvest the e-mail addresses that iPad 3G buyers provided to activate their devices. The group sent the information to tech and gossip blog Gawker, which reported that 114,000 e-mail addresses were exposed.

The exposure connected subscribers’ e-mail addresses with their iPad ICC IDs, a unique identification number used to link devices with their owners. AT&T linked them so that users of Apple’s 3G version of the iPad would not have to type in their e-mail addresses every time they wanted to access or change their AT&T account and billing settings.

How this base score is calculated?

Each hardware component receives an individual subscore. Your computer’s base score is determined by the lowest subscore. For example, if the lowest subscore of an individual hardware component is 2.6, then the base score is 2.6. The base score is not an average of the combined subscores. The scores currently range from 1.0 to 7.9

Like Windows Vista, Windows 7 does not runs the Windows Experience Index after the completion of installation process. you have to rate your system at your own. Follow the below steps to rate your Computer.

Open computer properties (press WIN + Pause Break Key or right click on My Computer and select properties).

In properties window, click on “System rating not available” (if you haven’t rated yet) or “Windows Experience Index” (if you have rated your PC already)

Now in the Windows Experience Index window, click on the “Rate this computer” button to run the rating process or click on “Re-run the assessment” if you have already rated your PC.

After running all the assessments, it shows your system rating.

Above is my PC score – 3.5 but we can easily tweak it and can make it show 7.9, lets see how

How To tweak Windows Experience Index

Just follow the below steps as it is to change your WEI score. Below is mine score before applying this hack.

Type Notepad in Start Menu Search > Right-Click > Run as Administrator. Now press CTRL+O to browse and open the file (change the document type to All Files).

Now Navigate to Windows\Performance\WinSAT\DataStore and open ******* Formal.Assessment (Initial).WinSAT file

Now Press CTRL+F to find and type SystemScore and press Enter

Change the Systeem Score to whatever value you want say 7.9 the highest and save it. That’s it

Now open your Computer Properties and see changes

Now go on and tweak your system and if you experience some problem let me know.

In this tutorial I will show you how you can secure your stored password in firefox, by simply adding 2-3 lines in your userChrome.css file. For those who don’t know how to tweak userChrome.css file please refer to Basic Firefox Tweaking Tutorial and Advanced Tweaking Tutorial.

Before getting to the solution lets first see what’s the problem is – In firefox anyone can see your stored password by clicking on a simple button “Show Password”.

Step 1. In firefox go to Tools > Options > Security

Step 2. Click on saved Password button.

Step 3. And now you will see a list of usernames in front of the website name for which you have stored password in your browser. Once you click the button you can see all your stored password just like as shown in figure below.

Though we can use a Master password to protect other user from accessing it, but we can tweak it too to make it more secure.

So if you see the above steps, you can see thatall our stored password were revealed by clicking on the button “Show Password”. So we can somehow remove that button than all our problem will be solved. So how to do that?, just open your userChrome.css file (refer Basic Tweaking tutorial if you don’t know how to open it). Now add the following line in your userChrome.css file and save it. You need to restart your firefox to see changes.

Hey but we can go a step before that i.e. if we can remove the Saved Password button in the security tab than there is no need to remove the show password button. So add the following line to remove the Saved Password button.

But when I think over it, than I came up with an another interesting thing, that actually Saved Password button is not the root if we can actually hide the Tools menu from the Menu bar than the whole Security system will be locked and no one can than edit any of our Firefox settings. To keep this in mind I came up with another piece of code (contributed by my friend Sid) which will remove the Tools menu from Menubar

You can tweak your menus using userChrome.css file. userChrome.css is a CSS file that can be used to change the way Mozilla Firefox interface look. But to edit it you need to locate it first.

For Windows XP users:

C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\

For Windows Vista and Seven Users:

C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\

Note: In the above two locations you will find userChrome-example.css file, you don’t have to modify it, you need to create a new file there called userChrome.css and than have to edit it.

Or

1. Press WIN + R and type %Appdata%
2. Then navigate to Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\********.default\chrome
3. Here create a file named “userChrome.css”

The easiest way to hide a menu item is using the Label attribute.

In the userChrome.css file add a line like this to hide any menu item:

replacing each of the identifiers #id1, #id2, … with one of the selectors from UserChrome.css IDs.

Example (hides the “View Background” menu item and the horizontal line after it):

So by using this method you can hide any menu item that you want, lets take one more example. Lets hide the Open Link in New Window menu item.

Reset To Default:

If something went wrong or at some stage you want to revert back all the changes than simply delete the file userChrome.css
